If wasted food were a country, it would be the largest producer of carbon dioxide in the world, after the USA and China. One third of all food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted globally each year, amounting to 1.3 billion tons. This series by Aaron Graubart is an urgent call for change. These sculptural images are visually seductive, playful but grotesque. Because that’s what food waste is – grotesque.
