Sam A HarrisAt Rare

At Pinch, a farm café and bakery nestled within Maple Farm in Suffolk, everything begins with the land. The wheat, the eggs, the fruit (all grown on site) find their way into gelato, pizza by the slice, delicate wafers, and Alice’s signature crullers, a piped doughnut that has quickly become the bakery’s calling card. It’s a place where the rhythms of farming and baking coexist, each feeding the other.

Sam was commissioned to refresh Pinch’s visual identity, and his photographs bring that cycle of growth to life. From plants pushing through soil to the gaggles of hens going about their day, his images capture the way food here feels deeply rooted and wholly alive. The images carry the texture of the farm itself: honest, handmade, and generous; a portrait of a café where everything is nurtured, made, and shared from the ground up.
