Fridge Raiders

View project

Fridge Raiders is a character-led stills series by Jo Sidey that turns a familiar, everyday ritual into something quietly revealing. Set in the glow of an open fridge door, it captures those instinctive, unguarded moments where people reach in, not out of need, but desire.

Because what we keep in our fridges is never random. It’s a reflection of habits, impulses, and small personal indulgences. Each character is caught mid-raid, offering a glimpse into who they are when no one’s watching.

From the Birthday Boy and Hungry Hostess sneaking a cheeky bite, to the Midnight Snacker chasing comfort in leftovers, or the Batch Cook Bro finding satisfaction in order and routine, each story reveals a different kind of pleasure.

Visually, the series leans into Jo's signature style - graphic, colour-led, and meticulously composed. Clean lines meet bold palettes, with the fridge light acting as both spotlight and stage. There’s a heightened, almost cinematic stillness to each frame, where styling, set design, and character collide to create something both playful and precise.
